This means if umpires do not umpire to the required standard of the award they hold, they could be held responsible if injuries occur, due to their incompetence. Be aware that PRELIMINARY and INTERMEDIATE qualifications are no longer valid. Therefore these umpires are no longer qualified. Those umpires have to take a current test. updated 10/12/2011 For more details contact Pat. at 1:08 PM on 22/11/06 'C' and 'B' umpiring REASSESSMENT As from 1/9/07 any 'C' award umpire who umpires in the NWK League, whose award is dated 5 years or more, (or 'B' umpire whose award is 4 years or more)must be reassessed by an EN accredited tester. Having passed the assessment, the standard attained MUST be maintained, otherwise the umpire could be liable to being reassessed. All umpires at all levels should maintain the appropriate standard. Any 'B' umpire who has failed their reassessment will also need to be reassessed for the 'C' level, as their movement may not be up to the required standard. Holding the 'B' award qualification without passing a reassessment does not automatically allow such umpires to umpire games requiring a 'C' qualification. Any umpire who would like to do their reassessment sooner rather than later, can contact Pat who is willing to reassess on a mid-week evening, at Swanley, when the Winter 2011/2012 season begins. IF ANY TEAM CHOOSES TO USE AN UMPIRE FROM OUTSIDE NWKL THEN THEY MUST ALSO ADHERE TO THESE RULES.
