UMPIRES ALL AENA UMPIRES ARE COVERED BY INSURANCE WITHIN THEIR AFFILIATION FEE, BUT THEY ARE REQUIRED TO OFFICIATE AT A LEVEL COMENSURATE WITH THE AWARD THEY HOLD.
This means if umpires do not umpire to the required standard of the award they hold, they could be held responsible if injuries occur, due to their incompetence. at 1:08 PM on 22/11/06
'C' REASSESSMENT As from 1/9/07 any 'C' award umpire who umpires in the NWK League, whose award is dated 5 years or more, (this will include those INTERMEDIATE umpires who decided not to upgrade their award to 'B'), must be reassessed by an AENA accredited tester. Having passed the assessment, the standard attained MUST be maintained, otherwise the umpire could be liable to being reassessed.
All umpires at all levels should maintain the appropriate standard.
Any 'B' umpire who has failed their reassessment will also need to be reassessed for the 'C' level, as their movement may not be up to the required standard. Holding the 'B' award qualification without passing a reassessment does not automatically allow such umpires to umpire games requiring a 'C' qualification.
Any umpire who would like to do their reassessment sooner rather than later, can contact Pat who is willing to reassess on a mid-week evening, at Coldharbour, when the winter 2008/2009 season begins. Contact her direct to make arrangements. at 11:57 AM on 10/10/06
